Service Description: Image service displaying a Hillshade Image from LiDAR-derived DEMs for all counties in Wisconsin, along the Upper Mississippi River, and along the shore of Lake Michigan, last updated February 2nd, 2024. The data sources are county-produced LiDAR with a range of flight years and DEM resolution: Counties with 3-Meter resolution DEMs: Green (2011), Iowa (2010), Jackson (2015), and Waupaca (2005). Counties with 2-meter resolution DEMs: Fond du Lac (2011), Green Lake (2009), & Winnebago (2014). Counties with 1-meter resolution DEMs: Ashland (2014) within the Bad River Reservation, Barron (2019), Bayfield (2015 & 2016), Buffalo (2016), Burnett (2015), Clark (2018), Dane (2017), Dodge (2017), Door (2018), Douglas (2016), Dunn (2019), Forest (2017), Iron (2015) within the Bad River Reservation, Kenosha (2017), La Crosse (2017), Lincoln (2015), Manitowoc (2015), Marquette (2018), Oconto (2019), Oneida (2013), Outagamie (2018), Ozaukee (2015), Polk (2015), Portage (2016), Racine (2017), Shawano (2016), Sheboygan (2019), Taylor (2016), Trempealeau (2014), Vilas (2013), Walworth (2015), Washburn (2016), Washington (2015), Waukesha (2015), Winnebago (2014), & Wood (2015). Counties with 2-foot resolution DEM: Adams (2019), Ashland (2019) outside the Bad River Reservation, Calumet (2018), Chippewa (2020), Columbia (2020), Crawford (2021), Eau Claire (2020), Florence (2019), Grant (2020), Iron (2019) outside the Bad River Reservation, Jefferson (2019), Juneau (2021), Kewaunee (2021), Lafayette (2019), Langlade (2017), Marathon (2021), Marinette (2021), Menominee (2020), Monroe (2019), Pepin (2019), Pierce (2021), Price (2018), Richland (2021), Rock (2020), Rusk (2020), Sauk (2020), Sawyer (2017), St Croix (2021), Vernon (2020), Waushara (2017), also the City of Oshkosh and portions of adjacent Townships (2019). Counties with 1-foot resolution DEM: Brown (2021), Milwaukee (2020). Tobobathy data is included for the Mississippi River (2009-2010) and along the Lake Michigan shoreline (2020). The DEMs have not been hydrologically conditioned. Elevation units are Meters. The Vertical Datum for the DEMs is NAVD88. WI DNR acknowledges the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service, USGS, FEMA, the Southeastern WI Regional Planning Commission, and the individual counties listed above, for making source data available.
